The Garden Wedding
Sarah and James chose the grounds of a colonial-era farmhouse in Karen for their ceremony. Jacaranda trees lined the driveway, their purple canopy creating a natural cathedral.
The Ceremony
They wrote their own vows. The kind of honest, stumbling, beautiful words that make everyone in the garden hold their breath. I positioned myself at a distance — close enough to capture the emotion, far enough to let the moment belong to them.
The light that afternoon was extraordinary. Nairobi’s high altitude gives the golden hour a particular quality — warm but clean, soft but directional. Every portrait practically composed itself.
Reception
As the sun set, the garden transformed. String lights woven through the trees. A live band playing Benga-jazz fusion. Guests dancing on the lawn in bare feet. The kind of celebration that reminds you what photography is really about — preserving joy.
